ALLEGRO is the name given to a global clinical research trial. It is designed to explore how effective, how safe and how tolerable a new drug, called laquinimod, is in patients who have relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Laquinimod is a new investigational drug that is taken by the mouth once daily. It is hoped that laquinimod will be safe and tolerable and effective in reducing the number of relapses experienced by RRMS patients.
